An awesome range with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Have been a dozen times to Prince George's Trap and Skeet Center and have nothing negative to say at all. I'm even having my company's corporate outing there soon. Would highly recommend, especially for the sport clay course.
Awesome place for skeet, trap, and sporting clays. Friendly and helpful staff. Many stations in the sporting clay coarse did work or were closed
Absolutely unprofessional employee!
My friend and I showed up to do a round of clay shooting and the employee we interacted with was terrible. I have extensive experience clay shooting at other ranges over several years in multiple states. The employee asked us a series of questions, some of which weren't even pertinent to shooting, to determine if he "felt comfortable" letting us shoot. Additionally, the employee kept interrupting us as we tried to answer his confusing and poorly worded questions. Our answers to these arbitrary questions did not satisfy this employee's "assessment" of our ability to shoot a shotgun safely. Only after listening to this opinionated employee for several minutes did he tell us we need to take a safety class before shooting. Why was that not the first question out of his mouth?!?! Why would he drag us through these dumb questions if none of it mattered? Like I said, I have been to many firearm ranges and never have I been given the run around like this for no reason. The questions he asked were irrelevant if this particular range's policy is in fact requiring their safety class before shooting. I can't think of a good reason why we were treated this way. Maybe he just didn't like the way we looked? I would like to come back in the future to take this class and eventually shoot, but I really hope the rest of the staff will be more personable and straight forward than the rude individual we interacted with. I would have given one star off of this single interaction, but I recognize the employee could have been having a really bad and decided to take it out on my friend and I. More importantly, I was able to vent some of my frustration by petting two sweet elderly dogs walking around the building.
Overall I used to have a great time at this facility , however , there is one staff member that has been ruining this experience. The facility is beautiful and most of the staff are great but one staff member who is usually at the trap is very very rude. He makes very rude comments and makes you feel unwanted and talks down to people. This has happened a few times and they have done it to multiple
People I know . It’s a shame because I love this facility but I won’t be returning because of these incidents.
Always have a good experience here. They do a lot of maintenance on their machines and fields, so call ahead if there is something specific you want to shoot and make sure it's open that day. It's the price you pay for quality facilities, so they don't lose stars for that. Employees are all friendly and really helpful for experienced and new shooters alike. So glad we have this resource near us.
I have usually had a great experience at the PG County Trap & Skeet, but this past fall we had a terrible interaction with an employee. He was rude, unhelpful, and made us feel completely uncomfortable for being there. It is unfortunate when you go to a place that is usually helpful and interact with an employee like that.
We still had fun shooting trap and enjoyed the brisk November day.
Had a great time shooting at the Five-Stand with the family. Bill, the attendant was very helpful and informative. Will definitely be coming back!
Great facility. Clean. Very friendly staff. Fair prices. I highly recommend PG Trap and Skeet.
